Big crowd infront of the office this morning. Seemed to be a nasty accident with police trying to control the throng. Subconsciously uttered a prayer for the 'victims' as I approached the gate. And got the surprise of the day.

They were techies waiting to board their office shuttles! Yes, all 100 of them!

Just got down to listening to it and the initial impression is that Vishal & Shekhar have once again rocked.

'The best Test match innings I've ever seen' - S.A. cricket coach Mickey Arthur.

Sehwag usually comes up with this kind of a performance once or twice a year. But when he does, you better stand aside and watch.

Maruti Dzire

Maruti launched the disproportionate looking sedan version of the Swift this week. They call it the DZire & sell it by calling it 'the heart car'.

What's with Maruti & corny tag lines? 'Men are back' for the SX4 & this ill-thought one for the DZire. Who comes up with this stuff?

First the 21k party (for 14 people) at Bombay Post & today, the 1k Westside gift vouchers to everyone on the team. Pitney Bowes is turning out to be the best client I've worked for.

By the way, Karthik the Tam-Brahm gave up his vegan ways after laying eyes on the prawns/lamb/mutton & chicken spread at the restaurant. He promises it was just for the one day. Akshay shot pics for proof.

And the juniors were impressed by the speed of my beer downing, heh heh.

Malaysian GP

Raikkonen finished 1st after a superb race. Mclaren ended up 3rd & 5th.

Force India's Fisichella managed 12th while Sutil DNFed. It's better than the last race at least.

Jannat

One of Pritam's best. This will surely rank among the year's better O.S.T.s. The riffs & the singing on 'Door Na Ja' are just amazing.

And there's something about the film's heroine, newcomer Sonal Chauhan ....

.... that i just can't seem to pin point.

awesomeness!

A very tense final, but in the end we got what mattered. Victory in the best of 3 finals in a tournament where the competitors were the World Cup finalists.

And what a victory it was! Sachin finally, finally, finally delivered; Praveen Kumar was a revelation & Dhoni retained his Midas touch. The cafeteria at the office was packed & the atmosphere was crackling.

It's been a long, grueling tour during the Aussie summer. But the team has held together in the face of all kinds of provocations & shenanigans by the Australian team & media. Especially Bhajji, no wonder he looked the happiest.

Good show team India! And as for the Ozzies, this .....

..... is for you. No, you don't hafta thank us, you deserve it!

Cricketing Sunday

First the national side convincingly beats the Aussies in the 1st of 3 finals of the CB Series & then, the under-19s stoutly defend a score of 159 to take the World Cup!

Could it be any better? Indian cricket is looking in rude health right now.

Not bad. The Mustang as the new K.I.T.T. is okay, although I missed the old K.I.T.T.'s voice.

Justin Bruening as the new 'Mike' is okay too.

And Deanna Russo is too cute.

As much as I dislike the Oz cricket team & it's constituents, there's no getting away from the fact that they make some smashing cars in the land down under.

The FPV F6 sedan and ....

the Holden Coupe 60.
