Home ...

I'm staring out into the night,
Trying to hide the pain.
I'm going to the place where love
And feeling good don't ever cost a thing.
And the pain you feel's a different kind of pain.

Well I'm going home,

Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home.
Well I'm going home.

Our 1st trip home. Looking forward to it.

Bugatti in India

The above grab from the Bugatti website shows that India is now a part of the global dealer network.

The retail comes to ~16 crores, making it the most expensive car ever to have sold in this country. It's nothing short of historic.

I quite liked the looks of the Verna. But Hyundai has come out with this new facelift today. Looks like a mod job gone wrong.

Good ol' Indo Pak

Saturday's Asia Cup match between India & Pakistan took one back to the old times. When 270 was considered a very good score in ODIs. And when there used to be a lot of needle on the ground.

Over the years, I think, as India has grown economically stronger & more confident, the players of the cricket team have reflected this in their attitude. While in the 1996 World Cup, Aamer Sohail could flail his bat at Venky while chasing a 'huge' 280ish score in Bangalore with nary a response from the gentle vegetarian, this time it was the Pakis getting it nice and good from the Indians. Good to see .... even though some of the 'action' from the Indians had me squirming.

And the icing on the cake was the penultimate ball victory, courtesy a huge sixer from Bhajji. The perfect way to spend a Saturday evening.

Ferronda

Guy who lives in the opposite house drives a black 2010 Honda City.

Maintains it well & had my respect because he had kept it so wonderfully stock .... that is, until this morning when I saw the yellow Scuderia Ferrari sticker under the right indicator. Why can't people stop being wannabes & just let things be?

XBox 360 with Kinect

MicroSoft is at it again .... this time they've been inspired by the Nintedo Wii & try to go one up on them by releasing the Kinect .... a motion sensing device which does not require anything to be held by the gamer.

They've also gone ahead & slimmed down the 360 console - a la PS3.

Was released yesterday. Somehow, in contrast to the earlier iterations, I like this one.

Weather's faaan

It has been an unusually hot summer for Bangalore this year with temperatures touching the late 30s & the sun beating down harsh whenever one steps outside.

But there has been a change since the last week or so. It's pleasant during the day & a cool breeze blows during the evenings .... in short, the Bangy weather we all know & love. Maybe it's the coming of the monsoon .... hope it stays this way for sometime.
