The Easter + Holi Weekend with Div

Good Friday fell on Friday, the 25th of March, 2005 and we consequently got the day off from work making it a 3 day weekend. The next day was Holi i.e. Saturday, the 26th of March, 2005. Taking advantage of this & also to use up his block booked IA tickets, Divesh flew down from Delhi. Went with Sid to pick him up at the Airport. It took 1.5 hours (2 bus rides & 1 auto ride). From the Airport we headed for STYX, the 'Heavy Metal' pub on M.G. Road. Anupam had given Sid a free expense account worth 2000 bucks & we spent half of it. Sittu missed out as he was finishing his part of the project at Ashwin's O.D.C.

Next day (Holi), Div went for a tour of our campus with Sid as I had got up late. Joined them (Sid, Div & Sittu) at 11 and we headed for Madiwala where we were to meet Ankesh. Harsh came to receive us after some waiting & promptly managed to get lost himself! Somehow, we made tracks to where Ankesh was with some of his B.C.A. friends from B.I.T. The guy was almost totally sloshed out on 'Bhang' & was planning to play Holi with us. The 4 of us soon beat a hasty retreat to 'The Forum Mall' & got ourselves tickets to 'ZEHER' in PVR's Gold Class @ 130/- each! But the movie and its songs + the ambience & the acoustics made up for it. 'Wo Lamhe' would be the background score running in my mind for the remainder of the day & the next.
Post movie we went to 'STYX' again. I had 2 Tequilas (the first time ever) & also managed to convince Sittu to down one. He became caught in the flow & had soon sent Holi greetings to Nivedita via SMS. He's absolutely besotted with her. Followed this up with window shopping on M.G. Road. Chatting up & remembering old times at B.I.T. was a good way to kill time. Soon had 'Shravarma' rolls for dinner & returned.

On Sunday (27th) evening, we returned to the old haunt 'Forum' once more. Div bought a shirt/kurta thing that's so popular these days from Tommy Hilfiger for 3800/-. Returned with 4 beer bottles & the 4 of us drank & chatted on the roof till 1:30 a.m. Div has to take the flight back today at 8p.m.
