2 failures in 2 days

On Sunday, it was the Agni III IRBM that didn't work & yesterday it was the INSAT 4C launch on board the GSLV that veered off it's designated course & had to be 'self-destructed'.

I've always been a huge fan of the Indian space & missile programs (despite all the delays), since they've achieved so much inspite of all the sanctions & betrayals. So this comes as a big disappointment. Hope the DRDO & ISRO can get over it .... soon.

montoya is joining NASCAR...
and anyway he was no longer a reckoning force in F1. Guess he is sixth in driver's tally at this time.

Nah, no chance of cable TV rates dropping if the satellite is Indian. The Govt. will pocket all profits just like they had to bear the losses in this instance. In any case, INSAT is used by Doordarshan (& Sun TV if I'm not wrong). STAR, Sony etc are on AsiaSat/PanAmSat/EuroStar.

As Sittu says, Montoya is moving on to NASCAR. The Americans may be paying him more plus there's less competition & a lesser level of skill required in NASCAR (they just race around an oval, banked track). Alonso will definitely join McLaren.
