Knight Riders went down to their 1st loss in the IPL today. But it was against a team whose performance has been remarkable.

Rajasthan Royals, coming into the tournament as rank outsiders (as I'd written a few posts ago) have shown tremendous team spirit and determination. As Arni said, the other teams are better on paper, but these guys perform better.

And a lot of the credit for that has gone to their captain-cum-coach Shane Warne.

I've almost always viewed the Aussies from a nationalistic point of view (which means hating them most of the time), but here in the IPL we've gotten a chance to see them from a more neutral perspective. It's quite something to watch Lee's aggression or Hayden's domination or Warne's leadership skills. No wonder they've cornenered most of the MoM awards so far. Inspiring stuff indeed.
