Living under threats

Sometime in the middle of last week, the Government of India issued a countrywide bomb threat alert. Some crazed jehadis were at it again & Bangalore being what it is, security at the campus has seen an upgrade. Each & every car is being checked underneath, in the boot, inside the cabin ........ it all seems pretty thorough, though I can't help but feel that all those measures can at best act as deterrents & not as guarantees for safety. Crazed fanatics that they are, the terrorists can simply use a bike or a suicide bomber. Whatever happens, living under the threat of terrorism seems to have become a way of life .... all over the world. There's no other option.
