Kabhi Alvida ....
The music is out (it was on the Net 4 days before the commercial release!) & it sounds suspiciously similar to that of Kal Ho Na Ho. Now, is that a good thing or a bad thing?
The songs are not up to my expectation. The title track KHNH was much superior to this one. However, when the visuals will be out in promos, the songs might sound better. The romantic song "tumhi dekho na..." is my favourite in the album.
But one thing which I did observe, karan johar might also have the feeling that he might not get that much income from this album sales, so we find the songs (all songs) are out on the FMs, and being played at quite regular intervals....but I just hope it does not over expose the songs.
The title track of KHNH is (in my opinion) one of the best Hindi movie songs ever. As for this movie, my roommates seem to prefer the 'Farewell Trance' track.
Regarding 'overexposure', I noticed it too .... I don't think they've played many other movies' songs as frequently as they're doing for KANK. But then, it's a KJ film & he (along with Yash Raj) is a master of hype & publicity .... I think they must have planned out everything.
