Annnd ...... another name change
From Nov 1, 2006, Bangalore shall officially be known as Bengaluru. How great! They can't do fig about the infrastructure but will cover themselves with glory by accomplishing this. Talk about misplaced priorities.
After Bombay, Madras, Calcutta & now Bangalore, I guess it'll be New Delhi's turn to be renamed Nai Dilli or some such .... oh well, at least my home town is safe 'cause it didn't have an anglicized name to start with.

But Patna can still be renamed "Patliputra"!!! How odd it'll sound when I'll say to you that Im going to Patliputra...
Patna sounds better, definitely.
